台風の季節になってきました。
先日の台風も、当地有田町は、予想コースの中心線から少しずれた所にあり、多少の心配をしていましたが、結果、我が家の周りには、何事もなく通り過ぎて行ってしまいました。大きな被害に遭われた方々もいらっしゃいますので喜んでばかりは、いられません。台風の接近によるお盆休みの予定が大きく変更した方々もおられたと思います。我が家も、妻の実家に義母を連れての帰省墓参りの予定がなくなり、無理することを回避した事は良いのですが、今後その穴埋めをしなくてはと、いろいろと妻は、作戦を練ることでしょう。毎日殺人的な暑さが続いています。昔は、昔は、昔は、などと良く言いますが、肌で感じる気候の変化に今後の天候とそれにかかわる生態系の危機を、心配せずにはいられません。確実に”昔とは違った生活環境”になっています。それに対する対策を今後も打ち続けなければならないと思います。

最近の冠婚葬祭で、また、生活の中にも着物を着る方が、大きく減ってきました。時代の流れと言えば、確かにそうでしょうが、親族しか、喪服を着ない。親族しか、留袖を着ない。少しづつ変化を感じる今。しかし、確実に言える事は、日本から着物文化は、無くならないという事です。少なくなってもいつか着用する時が、あなたもある事でしょう。着用すればわずかながらもシミや汚れを付けられるかもしれません。一度着用してみてその良さを肌で感じ、箪笥にしまってあった着物を探すことだって考えられます。カビや汚れが付いているその着物を綺麗にして又着用することが喜ばれる時だってある事でしょう。少ないながらも、着物専門のしみ抜き屋は、必要になる存在であると思います。いつかご利用になられるあなたへ。お待ちいたしております。

Typhoon season has arrived.
The other day’s typhoon was a little off from the center line of the predicted course in Arita town, so I was a little worried, but in the end it passed right around my house without any incident. I believe that some people have had to make major changes to their Obon holiday plans due to the approaching typhoon. My family no longer had plans to bring my mother-in-law to my wife’s parents’ home to visit her grave, and although it’s good that we avoided having to force ourselves, my wife is thinking of various strategies to make up for it in the future.
